About Ashley

I love a challenge, car dance parties, discovering new places, watching the sun set and live shows (my first concert was Ray Charles with my grandparents).

People who don’t use their turn signals drive me crazy and I’ve never met a taco (thus far) that I didn’t like.

I love a great story and getting to know new people, so you can typically find me grabbing a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and sitting down with someone to learn more about who they are and where they’ve been.

I moved to Nashville not knowing a soul just praying I would find a job in the music business. And from huts in South Africa to LA mailroom jobs to skydiving for an interview, this journey has been a fun, challenging and unexpected ride that I am incredibly grateful for.

So this is it. A place to share what I’m working on and stories of the people, places and things that inspire, teach me something new and/or make me laugh.

Known for her quick wit, southern charm and undeniable love of music, Ashley’s inexhaustible positivity and passion for storytelling have made her one Nashville’s most respected on-camera personalities, producers and reporters.

She currently hosts Rolling Stone’s first-ever daily web series, The Ram Report, which features exclusive artist interviews and cutting-edge country music news. Ashley is a contributor for NASH Country Daily (formally NASH Country Weekly), Vevo and People.com, among others and most recently produced a inspirational six-part video series around David Nail’s new album FIGHTER.

Prior to Rolling Stone, Ashley was a correspondent and producer for AXS TV as well as the host of multiple live concert specials.

She launched her on-camera career in 2006 as the host of ABC and the CMA’s inaugural web series spotlighting the CMA Awards and CMA Music Festival. Through the years, the series paired her with co-hosts Luke Bryan, Jake Owen and Chuck Wicks, giving fans never-before-seen access to the events.

As a producer, Ashley has developed and curated original video content for Marriott International, Billboard, Bonnaroo, Tortuga Music Festival, Pilgrimage Music Festival, Radio Disney, WhatsTrending.com and a variety of other brands.

With a degree in Music Business, she began her career as a Music Agent Trainee at Creative Artists Agency and in artist management for Wynonna Judd. A former Miss Tennessee, Ashley competed at Miss America and served as a spokesperson for former Governor Phil Bredesen and the Tennessee Department of Education.

Finding innovative ways to support the city she loves, she continues to partner with The Dollar Club at Cross Point Church. With the idea that incredible things can happen when we all do good together, every month the church asks each member to put in $1, pulls that money together and then finds a need in the community that needs to be filled. You can see the stories of generosity at CrossPoint.tv.
